My son "Buster" (his dad gave him that Nickname) decided that he wanted to make his own Green Smoothie for his snack today. He says "They are healthy cuz they have SALAD!" I let him choose what ingredients he wanted and let him help through the whole process, and I have to say, I think this will be our thing. My daughter likes to bake with me and my son, likes to make smoothies and I am completely okay with that. I have to admit that I really liked the taste of this one, good banana flavor with just a hint of cherry, and the honey adds a little sweetness but not too much.
So here are the ingredients and a few photos of "Buster" showing the step by step:
1 banana
1 orange(peeled with little pith)
1/2 c red raspberries
1/4 cup tart cherries
1 tbsp pure honey
5 leafs of Romaine
water
You can choose to chop your banana but it is not required.
Next strip your leaves and wash them thoroughly.
We like to blend our greens with a little water first, to ensure they are as creamy as possible.
Then you add your fruit and honey,blend until smooth.
Lastly, ENJOY!!
