So, my friend keeps posting Notes about new Green Smoothie Recipes. Me being the curious kitten I am decided that this is my new,"Must Try" project. I went online and looked at probably the top 50 sites that came up when I typed in Green Smoothies into Google.
Wow, I have to tell you, there is so much information out there that I am still processing it all. I have read so much that I can't even begin to decide where to start a more informative note. So until I do so, here are three sites that I have bookmarked to share with others.

Now, seeing as how I am new to this Green Smoothie movement please don't criticize for any misinterpretation or misunderstanding of information. Also, if you have any helpful information that you would like me to add to my upcoming notes, just let me know and I will be sure to credit you on that note.
Here's what I do know.
The basics are fruit, leafy greens, and liquid. But this does not mean that your smoothie has to be green, actually 90% of the pictures you will find will probably not be green. That does not mean there are no greens in them, that just means that the fruit takes center stage. When you think smoothie, you think fruity taste, there is no reason to change an already good thing, except to make it better.
Of course we all know that fruits and veggies harbor a plethora of essential vitamins and nutrients, but if those edibles are not properly digested then we are not getting their full benefits.
So it stands to reason that if we pre-digest our food then it will be easier for our stomach to finish the process. This is why the greens are blended down into a creamy consistency.
More to come later..
