This recipe calls for:
2 cups red cabbage
2 stalks asparagus
1/2 peeled cucumber
2 peeled/cored apples
1 dozen fresh strawberries
splash of agave nectar
handful of ice
If you haven't already guessed, I mixed all my greens together first with a little bit of filtered water.
I peeled my cucumber, only because I have a digestion problem when it comes to cucumber peel. The problem is, it won't digest, it makes me really sick. So unless you have that same problem, I don't see any reason why you couldn't leave the peel on. Then of course, I add my fruit and at the end I add just a splash of agave nectar to give it a little extra sweetness.
Asparagus and cucumber both have a high water content, which make them a great Natural diuretic. Try drinking this if you have mild/moderate bloating associated with P.M.S. instead of taking a water pill.
